In the project questions are asked regarding why citizens oppose or increasingly push back against gender and sexual equality. In order to answer this question, the study will compare Croatia and Belgium, two countries with different outcomes of anti-gender mobilizations. Specifically, the project will examine how citizens receive and evaluate messages about gender and sexuality available from the public discourse.

FEMACT is a network of gender studies scholars, activists, and critical researchers that works as a platform for sharing and creating new knowledge about how illiberal and anti-gender mobilizations operate in different countries.

The seminar will be held in Zoom. Apply for the seminar to Karin Larsson Hult. The seminar will be held in english.
