Welcome!
With the exhibition Man in the forest, the forest in man, we want to highlight a number of current and important issues for our region and our contemporary time, gathered under one theme: the forest and sustainable development.
In the exhibition, you meet knowledge and perspectives from five researchers and research groups at Mid Sweden University. The researchers are active in biology, ecotechnology, history, literary studies and tourism science.
The different perspectives of research are in the exhibition linked together through their orientation to time, as something crucial to understanding, knowledge and action. The different research perspectives also show some of the tensions between different views on forests, and present several answers and stories about the values of the forest.
A working group at the University Library is responsible for design and production of the exhibition. The work has been led by the exhibition curators Maria von Essen and Mikael Reberg.
