Meeting with upper secondary school teachers
Last week, CER was visited by a quintet of economics teachers from Sundsvall Upper Secondary School (Hedbergska skolan) to talk about common challenges and how we can strengthen cooperation.
During an afternoon, about ten CER researchers exchanged experiences with Camilla Arnoldsson, Anneli Johansson, David Lundgren, Johan Lundin and Ola Uhlin from the Hedberg School. On the agenda were questions about how AI can and cannot be used in connection with teaching and mainly examinations. During the meeting, questions were also discussed about the economics students' prior knowledge when they begin their university studies and which prior knowledge is particularly important. It was also discussed how cooperation can be strengthened, including that university teachers can visit economics classes at upper secondary school every year and that students in the graduating classes can attend the economics students' lectures at Mid Sweden University's business and economics programme.
