Optimization of Aluminum Alloy for Rechargeable Al‑ion Battery
The purpose is to investigate aluminum alloys, which can give improvements on electrochemical performance of Al-ion batteries. The aluminum alloy should minimize the problem with passive layer formation and corrosion on aluminum side during electrochemical performance.
The optimization of Aluminum alloy for Al-ion Battery project specifically focuses on the development for aluminum alloys for Al-ion batteries. In addition, design of a new graphitic cathode will be performed in parallel. The purpose is to investigate aluminum alloys, which can give improvements on electrochemical performance of Al-ion batteries. The aluminum alloy should minimize the problem with passive layer formation and corrosion on aluminum side during electrochemical performance. Various Al-ion battery will be assembled using the selected aluminum alloys, and the electrochemical performance is measured. Also, metallurgical investigations on aluminum and will be carried out. Moreover, several trials with new designed cathode electrode, a sustainable nanographite-nanocellolose composite in Al-ion battery will also be assembled and tested.
