Working methods for collaboration and management of invasive alien species in transport infrastructure
There are many threats to biodiversity today. Invasive Alien Species (IAS) are considered one of the major threats to biodiversity. For example, 52% of the species‐rich road environments in Sweden are threatened by IAS.
The project is part of a larger project on invasive species managed by SLU. The aim of this sub-project is to identify and explore ways of collaboration on invasive alien species with other stakeholders in the landscape. The project is carried out as an exploratory study of the playing field for management of invasive species at the Swedish Transport Agency, i.e. regulatory framework, actors and their actions. The study is based on the perspectives of IAS management, environmental policy instruments and effectiveness.
