Flexible and Sustainable Solid‑State Batteries for Cold‑Weather Electronic Applications
FSCN Research Center is one of the actors in a new Interreg Aurora project that aims to develop innovative battery solutions for cold climates. The project is a collaboration between researchers in Sweden and Finland.
The goal of the project "Flexible and Sustainable Solid-State Batteries for Cold-Weather Electronic Applications" is to drive the development of battery technology forward. The project aims to complement the battery value chain and enable local production of sustainable batteries for consumer electronics.
Developing these new batteries is important for the region's development, as it helps both the battery industry and the digital sector, which needs reliable solutions, such as batteries that are flexible or resistant to cold. Such batteries are essential for electronic devices and systems used in cold environments.
The project will complement the regional battery ecosystem within the Interreg Aurora programme area and promote new innovative methods and applications. By driving innovation and development in battery technology, new areas of use will contribute to a more sustainable future.
