Right‑wing populist incumbency and democratic communication
With the entry into government of right-wing populist parties, issues of democratic backsliding are actualized, especially in relation to communicative and media landscaping. We examine communicative changes after government entry based on rhetorical design, media strategy and party relations.
In Sweden and Europe
The combination of different methodological entry points, in connection with varying national contexts, aims to investigate and map right-wing populist communication from different perspectives. This affects both the parties' own approach as well as the political, communicative and societal environment.
Right-wing populist communication after incumbency
The purpose of the project is to examine right-wing populist parties after coming into government, in relation to communicative changes, the public debate and based on various democratic principles.
