Bibliometric analysis
Bibliometrics is a number of quantitative methods for analysing scientific publications. By using bibliometric methods, it is possible to analyse, for example, collaboration patterns, citations and productivity.
Some examples when bibliometric analysis can be applicable:
- Evaluation of research productivity and impact
- Allocation of research funding
- Strategic intelligence
- Strategic publishing
- Benchmarking with other research groups
