The Board of the Knowledge Foundation visited Mid Sweden University

The guests from the KK Foundation discussed research and development issues with vice-chancellor Anders Fällström, pro-vice-chancellor Anna Olofsson, deputy vice-chancellor Hans-Erik Nilsson and research strategist Ludde Edgren. 

Hans-Erik Nilsson, Mattias O'Nils, Birgitta Engberg and Lasse Rännar introduced and talked about ongoing projects in the research environment of Transformative Technologies. Right now, the international research school IRS Transtech, Driven - expert competence with courses for the business community, the next generation Internet of Things for industry with self-driving vehicles that are remotely controlled. They also got an introduction to the research profile Neopulp, the research project HIPS with new products made of cellulose in new sustainable innovations and applications and the battery research as well as research conducted with 3D printing of advanced materials and much more.

The visit was hosted by Jonas Örtegren, Claes Mattsson, Magnus Engholm, Ida Svanedal, Henrik Andersson, Alireza Eivazi, Johan Persson, Magnus Hummelgård, Christina Dahlström and Inger Axbrink from FSCN and Sports Tech research centres. The guests took part in a guided tour of the chemistry and physics labs and discussed challenges and opportunities together with the researchers. It was an interesting and rewarding afternoon and we hope the guests enjoyed the visit and brought new knowledge and new ideas from our activities at Mid Sweden University.
