Additive Manufacturing - Course Package for Exchange Students, 30 Credits



Additive manufacturing is a game changer in modern industry, and the demand for talented specialists in this area is rapidly increasing in both industry and academia.

This course package offers a thematic semester on additive manufacturing with a specific focus on powder bed fusion technologies, the most widely used technology in both industry and research. Various areas of knowledge, such as manufacturing technology, sustainability, and materials, are integrated into the package to provide a comprehensive understanding of the possibilities and limitations of additive manufacturing.



The course package consists of the following courses: Additive Manufacturing in Metal, 7.5 credits, Additive Manufacturing and Sustainability, 7.5 credits, Materials for Additive Manufacturing, 7.5 credits, and Scientific Writing and Research Methods, 7.5 credits.



The teaching is mostly conducted on campus, but certain parts/courses are offered in a distance learning format.

Entry requirements

Degree of Bachelor/Bachelor of Science in Engineering of at least 180 credits (180 ECTS) in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Production Engineering, Engineering Physics or equivalent. At least 5 credits (ECTS) in each of Materials Science, Mechanics and Structural Mechanics and at least 15 credits (ECTS) Mathematics.
