Welcome to the Master by Research Day, November 13 2025
The Master by Research Day is an annual meeting for knowledge transfer and exchange of experience among Master by Research students, supervisors, programme coordinators and others interested in the programme.
Take the chance to present your project and get valuable input
The Master by Research Day is an annual event where you have the opportunity to be inspired by other students who present their projects but you are also given the opportunity to present your own project and get valuable input to your continued studies from the other participants, students, supervisors, and programme coordinators from different subject backgrounds.
During the day you will briefly present your studies in 15 minutes with subsequent dialogue with the other participants. As the participants come from different subject backgrounds, you are also trained to present your topic and project to a wider audience.
Please note that you are encouraged to participate and to give a presentation regardless of how far you have progressed in your studies. All presentations are valuable.
At the end of the event there will be a programme evaluation, where you and your fellow students will be able to discuss the programme and give valuable feedback.
Practical information
This year, the Master by Research day will take place at Campus Sundsvall, in room M103. Detailed agenda will be announced later.
Register for the Master by Research Day
All participants register for the Master by Research Day by e-mail to Malin Bydén Sjöbom, malin.byden-sjobom@miun.se, no later than October 31. Please remember to tell us if you have any allergies or other special requirements.
Master by Research students: The registration shall provide information about the title of your presentation (15 minutes). More information about the presentations is found below.
Outline for oral presentations (15 minutes):
- Subject and name of project
- A short presentation of yourself (background, previous studies)
- A description of the project plan
- A brief summary of ongoing work
- A summary of project results (if applicable)
- Plans or suggestions for future work
Please note that the presentation should be suitable for a wider audience, since the participants represent various specializations within the Master by Research programme. Remember that it makes no difference whether you have just started your project or if you are soon about to graduate, your participation is always valuable and interesting to others.
