What is Mitt Råd?
Mitt Råd is a free telephone-based counseling office that offers support and guidance on various social issues. We talk about what matters to you.
Everyone is welcome to contact Mitt Råd by phone during our opening hours. We who answer your call are social work students.
What does Mitt Råd offer?
Mitt Råd provides support and advice on various social issues and problems that you need to discuss. We offer, for example:
- Someone to talk to if you feel lonely, down or if something makes your everyday life work against you
- Someone to talk to if you are worried about yourself or someone else
- Support and guidance in contact with Swedish authorities
- Help to understand decisions from agencies that affects you or someone close to you
- Advice on where to turn with your question and/or problem addressed in our conversation
Mitt Råd – social work students
Mitt Råd aims to provide the public with support and assistance in various issues. On Mitt Råd social work students answer all calls. The students receive their help from teachers and supervisors at the Department of Psychology and Social Work (PSO). To offer the best possible support and guidance, there are two (2) social work students that receives your call. It’s important to emphasize that the work of Mitt Råd is not of therapeutic or psychotherapeutic nature.
Mitt Råd intends to contribute to the benefit of society and exist for individuals who can´t find their way among authorities and institutions. In addition, Mitt Råd is a unique opportunity for social work students to acquire practical knowledge about social work during their studies at Mid Sweden University, Campus Östersund.
You can be anonymous
You do not need to give away any personal information and you can be anonymous when you call Mitt Råd. If you wish to block your telephone number, press #31# before typing the number to Mitt Råd. The following digits should appear on your screen in order for your number to be blocked: #31#0101428270
The students at Mitt Råd will, for learning purposes, keep simple and anonymous notes. The purpose of these notes is also to ensure the quality of the work. Mitt Råd also collects statistics on incoming calls for development purposes.
