The Academic Ceremony at Mid Sweden University begins with Inaugural lectures where new honorary doctors and professors share their knowledge and experiences with the audience. The Inaugural lectures are held at Campus Östersund, are open for the general public and also broadcast on the web.

On 10 October the next Academic ceremony at Mid Sweden University will take place in Östersund. On this occasion, there is a conferment ceremony for new doctors and honorary doctors, an installation ceremony for new professors, and a ceremony for the conferment of awards and prizes.
