Licentiate Seminar in Health Science with Josefine Hansson
Welcome to a licentiate seminar in health sciences where Josefine Hansson defends her thesis "Self-employed people navigating difficult times – business challenges and well-being from a salutogenic perspective".
Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic has posed major difficulties for many self-employed people, such as uncertainty, reduced customer demand, supply chain disruptions, and difficulties in conducting business.
Most studies on self-employment during the pandemic have had a pathogenic focus and focused on negative consequences. The overall aim of this licentiate thesis is therefore to explore how self-employed people have used salutogenic internal and external resources to manage the pandemic, both in relation to the company and to their own well-being.
