Opening of the Combined Library in Härnösand | 1999 |
In 1999, the construction of the Combined Library, (Swedish: Sambiblioteket), was completed in Härnösand.
The building houses the Public Library of Härnösand, the County Library of Västernorrland, as well as the Mid Sweden University Library. The library has an integrated media Collection.
The unique collaboration means that the visitors have gained access to a larger and more varied collection than if the libraries had remained separate entities as previously.
