Mid Sweden University's Sports Academy
Mid Sweden University has a unique and prominent position in the field of sports. Since 2018, we have been a National Sports University where sports research, sports-related education and elite athletes meet to develop and exchange experiences.
Sports and education
Follow in the footsteps of Sebastian Samuelsson, Mona Brorsson, Zebasatian Modin, Märta Rosenberg, and Måns Skoglund. Like many other skiers, they live and train in Östersund, compete at a high international level, and study at Mid Sweden University.
Dual Career
To study at the same time as being an elite athlete can be hard. We make it easier for you by offering possibilities to combine your sporting career with academic studies. We adapt your study pace so that you can focus on training and competitions when necessary and still make progress with your education.
We have extensive experience with dual career students who both study and compete at a high level in their sport. Since becoming a Swedish National Sports University in 2018, we have enhanced our ability to provide dual career support to athletes in various sports beyond just winter sports. Welcome to Mid Sweden University Sports Academy as an elite athlete student!

Biathlon
Since 2024, we have cooperated with the Swedish Biathlon Federation and the International Biahlon Union and offer an international biathlon dual career group. The international students live and train in Östersund, have a Swedish coach, and train together with the Swedish dual career biathlon students. Are you interested in being a part of that group too?
