Equal opportunities anniversary award
To draw attention to Mid Sweden University's anniversary year and our long-term work with equal opportunities, employees and students are invited to propose candidate(s) for Mid Sweden University's Anniversary Award regarding equal opportunities for 2025. Equal opportunities is about counteracting discrimination, but also promoting equal opportunities*. The purpose of the Equal Opportunities Anniversary Award is to highlight a person or persons who in some way have carried out initiatives that have promoted equal opportunities work within Mid Sweden University.
What distinguishes the anniversary prize from the regular prize is that it can also go to someone who is no longer active at Mid Sweden University. It can be someone who has changed workplaces, who has retired or an external party (person or organisation) who has done something special to promote equal opportunities work at the university
You can nominate staff, students, groups, or a subject, department or division at Mid Sweden University or apply yourself. Proposals with justification must be submitted in writing to the Coordinator for Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities (lasse.reinikainen@miun.se), no later than 18 May. The jury is the Council for Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities. The prize will be awarded at the Equal Opportunities Day on 7 October in Sundsvall.
