The action plan for CoAra has been decided
As a result of Mid Sweden University's affiliation to CoARA (Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment), the Vice-Chancellor decided on Tuesday on an action plan that describes the areas that Mid Sweden University will prioritize over the next five years.
The University's vision, strategy and organisational characteristics have guided the selection of the following priority areas:
- Mid Sweden University works actively for open science as an important foundation for ensuring the integrity, quality and relevance of research.
- Mid Sweden University works for the recognition and inclusion of various research merits in the planning and assessment of research careers, such as valuing collaboration with the surrounding community in research.
- Mid Sweden University maintains stringent standards for the quality and integrity of research by continuously improving the methods for peer research evaluation.
"The plan describes overall challenges as well as measures, timetable and those responsible for taking the work forward linked to each area. It is now time to start working more concretely with CoARA, partly by initiating the formation of internal working groups, and partly by Mid Sweden University participating in the development work that is now starting together with other affiliated organizations within CoARA," says Håkan Wiklund, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Quality Issues.
