POC for a new transcription tool
The university is conducting a proof of concept (POC) to test the transcription tool Ragnar. The aim is to evaluate the tool's ability to handle sensitive data and improve researchers' workflow. 20 participants from two faculties are testing the tool until the end of the year.
The Infrastructure Department is conducting a proof of concept (POC) to test the transcription tool Ragnar. The purpose of the project is to evaluate the tool's ability to handle sensitive personal data, which is crucial for the researchers' needs. A total of 20 people from both faculties are participating in the project, which will run until the end of the year.
Ragnar is an advanced tool that automatically transcribes speech into text, which can facilitate research and documentation in many academic contexts. During the test period, the participants will use the tool in their daily tasks to provide feedback on its accuracy, efficiency, and usability.
The goal of the project is to conduct a POC, make a decision on the tool's suitability, and implement a transcription tool that fits the university's researchers. In addition, proposals will be developed for a future management organization that will be responsible for the administration and support of the tool.
The project marks an important step in improving the researchers' workflow and ensuring that the university uses effective and secure digital tools for managing research data.
The project is part of the digitalization portfolio.
