Adobe Software License Warnings

Thu 21 Nov 2024 10:57

The license warnings do not mean that the programs will stop working, but they can easily be dismissed by clicking "OK". If you already have an Adobe license granted, it will continue to apply as usual.

The reason for the warnings

The license warnings are due to the fact that a new agreement with Adobe is not yet finalized. The temporary extension that Adobe previously enabled to avoid warnings expires on November 21. After this, a grace period will come into effect, which means that the warnings will be shown to all Adobe users at our and at other Swedish universities that are part of the Adobe consortium.

Adobe Technical Limitations

Adobe has announced that its system automatically activates the license warnings and that it is technically not possible to defer them further. This is despite the fact that the delay of the new agreement is currently with Adobe themselves. We have been told that this is the only possible solution at this time.

What does this mean for you?

  • The programs continue to function fully despite the warnings.
  • You can ignore the warnings and press "OK" without affecting your use of the programs.
  • Your current license is still valid until the new agreement is in place.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, but we want to assure you that you can continue to use Adobe software as usual.

Thank you for your understanding!
