The European Research Council (ERC) is funded via Horizon Europe, and their calls are usually highly competitive. Perhaps that is not surprising, since you get good money, and funding for a number of years.

For the second year in a row, Sweden’s young universities will this autumn hold an ERC-course for those who are interested in applying. The course is focused specifically on the Starting Grants (which researchers can apply for up to 7 seven years after defending their PhD-theses) and Consolidator Grants (up to 12 years after the defence). The course will be given in English, will be digital, and will take place during one and a half days, 3 September (the whole day) and 20 September (in the morning, until lunchtime).

Are you interested in applying for an ERC Starting or Consolidator Grant, and want to join the course? In that case, send an expression of interest to grantsoffice@miun.se! Do also note that the number of participants we can send to the course will be limited, and so if it turns out that there are many people that are interested, we will apply the ‘first-come-first-serve’ principle.
