Mid Sweden University is a new member in a EU‑alliance
The results of the 2024 call for the European Universities Initiative have now been published by the European Commission. Out of the applications sent in, 14 new alliances were selected – one of them CHALLENGE.EU of which Mid Sweden University is a member.
This brings the total of alliances to 64, bringing together more than 560 higher education institutions from different countries. 19 Swedish higher education institutions were members of alliances prior to the call 2024. Now 5 more have been added – Mid Sweden University, Blekinge tekniska högskola, Högskolan I Halmstad, Mälardalens universitet and Södertörns högskola.
Now starts the final step of the process to secure our EU funding. The project start is January 1st, 2025, but the work will be initiated during the autumn.
We will give more information during the fall about what this means for Mid Sweden University and our students and staff.
