Testing Zoom Room and other technical solutions
Right now, new technology is being tested in several classrooms in Östersund and Sundsvall. This means changes that lecturers, among others, need to keep track of.
The product being tested is Zoom Room; Zoom's platform for classrooms and conference rooms. There are a number of advantages to this platform, such as wireless sharing of content, classroom-to-classroom connectivity and smoother hybrid teaching. There will be a certain threshold before you have learned how it works, but the goal is to make it easier to use the technology.
Zoom Room is rooms C013 in Sundsvall and P2520 in Östersund. Both rooms are being upgraded and cannot be used at this time. They are expected to be completed at the end of September/beginning of October.
Room N102 in Sundsvall has been rebuilt and new equipment is being tested in it. This means that the lecturer must have their own computer with them with a working network connection.
