Canvas replaces Moodle from autumn semester 2025
From the autumn semester 2025, all courses will be conducted in the learning platform Canvas instead of Moodle. To prepare you for the transition, several support measures are available.
In Canvas, we will use a standardized basic structure and template. More information about this can be found in Canvas's basic course, in the module "Canvas at Mid Sweden University". Everyone who is added to Canvas has access to the course there. As a teacher, you need to take part in an undergraduate education to get started. You can do this either by participating in a workshop or completing the asynchronous basic course in Canvas directly in the platform.
Continued support and information visits
If you have already started with Canvas, you can take advantage of continued support through our Canvas learning ”cottages”. These are held on Wednesdays at 15-16 and Fridays at 10-11. More information can be found on our canvas page via the link below.
Heads of department can book information visits to APT or tailor-made training from us in the group for educational development. You can make the booking via our function address at the bottom of this page.
Summer Courses 2025
For summer courses in 2025, the teacher chooses whether the course will be held in Moodle or Canvas. To give a summer course in Canvas, register no later than 30/4 by filling out the form that you will find on our Canvas page. A link to the page Canvasinfo can be found below.
Migration of course material from Moodle
Right now, the transfer of material from Moodle to Canvas is being tested. More information will be available by March 18, but you can already start preparing now. You can read more about this on our canvas page, where you will also find updated information about the project:
