Sámi People's Day attracted a large audience

The celebration of the Sami People's Day was arranged at Studentplan with speeches by, among others, Vice-Chancellor Anders Fällström and Östersund's municipal councillor Effie Kourlos.
The celebration began with a powerful joik by Tanja Nordfjell. In front of the stage, staff, students, preschool children and students from nearby schools were mixed. Out at Studentplan, you could try throwing throwing reins at a reindeer in wood. The whole celebration ended with a big dance party where the Sami artist Ola Stinnerbom and his daughter Ida performed.
Tanja Nordfjell offered joik and Nora Åhrén showed how to throw a cat rein.
