Nominate for the Equal Opportunities Award 2025
Now it's time to nominate a group, a colleague or maybe yourself for this year's Equal Opportunities Award. This year, a total of four different prizes are awarded, one of which is special for the anniversary year.
Mid Sweden University has in various rounds awarded an equal opportunities prize whose purpose is to highlight good examples of work that counteracts discrimination and promotes equal opportunities for both employees and students. Equal opportunities in this context refers to the work based on the Discrimination Act in terms of gender, gender identity or gender expression, ethnicity, religion or other belief, disability, sexual orientation and age.

Nominate for four different awards
During our anniversary year, we draw a little extra attention to equal opportunities by awarding four different equal opportunities awards. One is the regular equal opportunities award that goes to people, units or departments that are active right now and whose efforts are in the near future. In addition to this price, the student union in Sundsvall and Östersund also have their own equal terms award. The prize money for these prizes is SEK 10,000 for each prize, which is to be used for the promotion of equal opportunities issues and is used for this purpose by the unit in which the prize winner(s) operate.
In addition, this year an anniversary prize will be established that can go to someone who has previously made lasting contributions or to an external party who has had a positive impact on the University's equal opportunities work. It can be a person or organization that has previously worked at, or that is/has been associated with, Mid Sweden University. The anniversary prize is of a more symbolic nature and therefore does not consist of a specific amount of money.
The nominations can be about individuals (staff or students), a working group, a subject or an education, or a department/department that in some way has made significant contributions to students, employees or to the University's activities. You can also nominate yourself.
