Blended Intensive Program (BIP)
The Erasmus+ programme offers opportunities for shorter mobility periods for students and staff. One example is Blended Intensive Program (BIP) which consists of a short physical mobility combined with a virtual component.
Blended Intensive Program (BIP)
Blended Intensive Program (BIP) is short mobility (5-30 days) with Erasmus+ funding, to a country within Erasmus+. A BIP is a combination of a physical mobility and a virtual learning compenent (blended mobility). BIPs can be organized for student as well as for staff mobility.
BIP is an inclusive mobility form that make international exchanges possible in programmes where it is hard to go for a long-term mobility, and makes mobility possible for students with fewer opportunities. BIP also provides internationalisation at home.
BIP entails a minimum of three universities from three different Erasmus+ program countries, who together create and teach the course that is at least 3 ECTS. The course must include a virtual compenent that takes place before, during, and/or after the physical mobility. Erasmus+ mobility agreement between the participating universities is also required.
