User scenarios
Different needs of users
One account
Scenario 1
A person needs to have access to the vault and should work on the content themselves and not share it with anyone else. The person wants to use a secure solution.
- Order an account
Scenario 2
A project where there is a person who needs to receive notifications and also have the opportunity to share folders, etc. In such a project, that person needs to have their own account. The other people are invited to the project via sharing links, where the account owner decides whether to share files or an entire folder. The account owner also decides what different people are allowed to do with the file or the contents of the folder, e.g. read or edit
- Order an account
- The account owner can receive notifications about changes, set by the account holder
- The account owner can share folders/files
- Folders/files are shared via sharing links
- The person who has the account decides what permissions different people should have to what is shared, only read or also edit – the permission is set after the link has been sent
- The account owner receives the password via email and can forward it to the person who has received the sharing link
- The account owner needs to inform those who have received sharing links and passwords how to handle them
Multiple accounts for a project
Scenario 1
A project where there are one or more people who need to receive notifications and also have the opportunity to share folders, etc. In such a project, these people need to have their own account. Other people who do not have the same needs can instead be invited to the project via sharing links.
It is important to think before starting the project so that you know which folders/files should be shared to different people and who it is that distributes the links. Good to have a common folder that is distributed and where it is possible to add subfolders.
- Order accounts for all people who need to receive notifications
- Each account owner decides which notifications they want
- The account owners can share folders/files
- Folders/files are shared via sharing links or to other people who have accounts in the vault
- The sharer decides what permissions different people should have to what is shared, only read or edit—the permission is set after the link has been sent
- The account owner needs to inform those who have received sharing links and passwords how to handle them
- Consider who should share folders/files so users don't get more sharing links
- Within a project, it can be a good idea to share everything in a folder and put subfolders in it with all the information to be shared
