Instructions for registering a public defence
Table of contents
Here you will find what is required to register for a public defence - rules, timetables and forms.
Book an appointment
In order for the notification of the public defence to be handled by the faculty office, the application must be prepared and planned well in advance, preferably more than three months before the planned date of the public defence.
Notify administrator John Håkansson as soon as possible what time you wish to book. Only one dissertation or licentiate seminar at the faculty is allowed to be held on a given day. See booked times below.
Contact the printing house, Jörgen Carlsson as soon as the date for the public defence is booked. Periodically, many people have to print their theses, so it can be difficult to get a time for printing that fits the planned graduation date. If you have to change the date for printing/proofing, you must make sure that the printing company is informed of this so that they can change their planning.
For a complete description of the procedures for public defences at the Faculty of Science, Technology and Media, please refer to the document Description of procedures for public defences and licentiate seminars below.
