University management

The Vice-Chancellor is responsible for the management of Mid Sweden University's activities closest to the Board.

Mid Sweden University's management consists of the Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, University Strategist and University Director.

The Vice-Chancellor is appointed by the Government on the basis of a proposal from the University Board and is the University's highest manager and main representative.
The Pro Vice-Chancellor is appointed by the University Board and is the Vice-Chancellor's deputy.
The University Strategist is appointed by the Vice-Chancellor and works primarily with strategic development issues both internally and externally.
The University Director is appointed by the Vice-Chancellor, is the head of the University's administration and has overall responsibility for official issues, contacts with ministries and responsibility for the administrative support processes.

The university's management also includes three deputy vice-chancellor's and a research strategist.
