Hello!
A warm welcome to the course Business Administration Ma, Master Thesis and as a student at Mid Sweden University.
Welcome to the thesis course!
- Utbildningskod: FÖ007A
- Anmälningskod: L4X50
- Ort: Östersund
- Studieform: Campus
- Studiefart: 100%
- Course period: 2025-03-31 - 2025-06-08
Our recommendation is that you work together with someone (groups of 2 are allowed) - there will be a lot to do and it is very helpful to have someone to discuss with.
Agree on an essay topic and start reading research articles on that topic as soon as possible.
Schedule
Four weeks before the beginning of the course you will get access to your schedule at, Four weeks before the start of the course, you will see your schedule here.. Can't find the schedule? Then your teacher may have published it in the learning platform Moodle. The time and place/link for your teaching can be found in your schedule.
Please note that the timetable may be updated until the beginning of the course and even after that if something unforeseen happens.
Utbildningsinformation
The subject (topic) must be defined (not too broad) and have both theoretical and practical relevance, which is best achieved with the help of previous studies. Your study must also be doable within the time limit. The sooner you can get started the better, time during essay writing usually passes faster than you think.
After the introductory lecture, when we also discuss your subject choices, you can hopefully be assigned a tutor (the subject must first be approved). This is followed by seminars with the supervisor where the various parts of the essay are discussed. The semester ends with a final seminar if the essay by then meets the set requirements (see course guide in Moodle).
Take the chance to immerse yourself in something that interests you. It will require a lot of work, but you will also learn a lot from it.
Before you can begin your studies, there are three things you need to do
1. Create a student account
As a new student, you need to create a student account to get access to the university´s e-services, such as Ladok, where you can register for courses and examinations, see your study results, and access the University Library´s e-services, as well as the learning platform Moodle.
Please note that the earliest date to create your student account is 20 days before the beginning of the course (spring term) or 30 days before the begging of the course (autumn term).
If you have a Swedish personal identification number (format: yyyymmdd e.g., 198101201111) you can verify your identity using EduID. International students without a Swedish identity number must verify their identity using Antagning.se.

Please note:
If you have studied at Mid Sweden University before, you will keep the same student login and user id.
