Partner Institutions
Mid Sweden University cooperates with a large number of universities abroad. Some of these cooperations include exchange agreements that allow you as a student to spend 1-2 semesters abroad as an exchange student.
Partner institutions
Mid Sweden University has a database of partner universities where you can search for partner universities based on your subject (study area) at Mid Sweden University. The subjects included in your study programme or degree determine which host universities you can apply for. You can also do a search on "Subject not defined" to find partners where the agreement is university wide.

Good to know about the different agreements
Exchange agreements within EU/EES are often Erasmus+ exchange agreements. Students going on Erasmus+ exchanges are guaranteed the Erasmus+ scholarship. Click here for more information about the Erasmus+ scholarship
Exchanges to Switzerland and United Kingdom do not qualify for Erasmus+ scholarship.
Erasmus+ exchanges are tuiton free and includes insurance for the full stay. Students are responsible for their travel, room, board, books, and personal expenses.
Exchange studies outside of Europe are often more costly, as it may require language tests such as TOEFL, visa, vaccination, and insurance costs. For studies in the USA, applicants have to show ahead that they can finance their semester to qualify for a visa, often by submitting bank statements showing funds of approximately 7500 USD. Exchange students do not pay tuition fees, but are responsible for travel, room, board, books, visa costs and other personal expenses that may be required. Insurance is included, but it is common that North American partners require that exchange students purchase the university-insurance.
