Speaking and writing English has therefore become one of the most important skills you can bring into the workplace.
Studying English at Mid Sweden University provides a solid insight into the literature and social structure of English-speaking countries, as well as sought-after skills in speaking, writing and analyzing. Such knowledge, insights and skills are increasingly important wherever you work.
English can be studied at undergraduate level (A, B and C courses),
The A course focuses on grammar, the study of contemporary literature, culture and society of English-speaking countries, and oral and written language skills.
The B course puts a general linguistic perspective on the language, highlights the study of literature from a transatlantic and global point of view, and further develops skills training and analytical abilities.
The C course deepens your knowledge of and in language and literature and sharpens your ability to think critically through the study of both linguistic and literary theories. The course also includes the writing of a scientific paper.
In addition to the course offerings, so-called breadth courses are also offered, such as Business Writing, 7.5 credits. Breadth courses can be included in the degree but do not give eligibility for the next level of progression.
