Quality Technology
Quality is perhaps the concept that has had the greatest impact on today's successful companies and organizations.
It's not just about systematically developing products and services that provide more satisfied customers and increased profitability. It is also about constantly developing and improving our own internal operations. Quality technology is the art of being the best!
Constantly changing needs and expectations of customers, together with increased international competition, mean that companies and organizations are investing more and more in their quality work. The overall purpose of proactive and systematic quality work is to get more satisfied customers at a lower cost. Quality technology, or quality development, is a relatively new subject area that has aroused great interest among industry and public organizations. Examples of areas that are included in quality technology are leadership and business development, customer relations and satisfaction, as well as processes and product development (goods and services). Knowledge of quality technology is industry-independent and is therefore relevant in all educations.
The courses in Quality Technology and Management given at Mid Sweden University are based on state-of-the-art international research. Some of the courses are location-independent distance courses and are based on the use of web-based tools, group work and individual work with supervision, as well as some joint meetings. The courses require the students to work actively with problems that reflect the work of different companies and organizations to develop products and operations in order to improve the results of the various processes.
Today, there is a great demand for employees with expertise in the quality area, not only among the new emerging service and knowledge-producing companies, but also in schools and the public sector.
Mid Sweden University also offers a postgraduate programme in quality and leadership development, 60 credits.
