Routines for course evaluations
Content:
All course evaluations consist of two pages. The first contains key issues that have been decided by the Vice-Chancellor's management group and where we will be able to measure quality over time. The second page contains course-related questions. Today, free text and scale questions are used in our forms and it is possible to choose whether you want the course evaluation in Swedish or English.
Teachers can also add their own questions on page 3, which they do via their course page in Moodle. The link is usually available one and a half weeks before the course ends, i.e. on the Wednesday of the penultimate week of the course.
Mailing:
As a rule, each course evaluation is sent out on the Friday of the last week of the course. The course evaluation is then open for 13 days and during that time, two reminders are also sent out to those who have not yet responded. The mailings are in both Swedish and English and have a personal link that the students can click on to access the form.
Please note that the course evaluation goes to the students' email that they entered when registering at Mid Sweden University, but they can also access the course evaluation via Moodle if they wish.
Once the course evaluations have expired, it is not possible to edit the mailing list – add email addresses.
Reports:
The reports/summaries are sent out to the heads of departments, immediately after they are closed. The reports are also available to teachers/course coordinators on the relevant course page in Moodle and there they can also add comments.
Guidelines for course evaluations:
In December 2021, new guidelines for course evaluations were established, you can read them here:
