Inaugural lecture: The Future of Measurement Technology as Sensor Systems Meet Artificial Intelligence
Jan Lundgren is a professor of electronics and will talk more about his research during his inaugural lecture at the Academic Ceremony. The lecture is open to the public.
Measurement technology is on the brink of a transformation, where measurements and predictions that were previously impossible can now see the light of day, thanks to artificial intelligence. A major challenge for research is to understand how a field and technology like measurement technology can relate to and be adapted to better fit AI models such as neural networks, but also to find synergies between these technological areas.
Jan’s research focuses on these synergies between measurement technology and AI, within various application areas. His research has led him to both healthcare-related and industrial applications, where these different sectors can learn a lot from each other.
